T-Minus 24 days and counting....ish.

That's right.  I am offically 36 weeks pregnant.  He can come at any time.  Holy.  Poop.  This is really going to happen soon.  *cue freak out mode*

Had my check-up today.  Caleb looks amazing.  A little smaller than the toddler we were expecting, but believe me, my vagina is rejoicing!!  They say as of right now, he is weighing in at 7lbs 4oz and is roughly 18 inches long.  Now, the thing with ultrasounds, is they are only about 20% accurate at this point....meaning he could be a pound more, or a pound less.  He was practicing using his lungs the whole time, which is a very good thing!

I also had my first cooter check.  Oh yes.  I didn't even get dinner first.  Pfft.  As of right now, the cervix is soft but still high.  He could feel the top of Caleb's head.  Crazy.  No wonder I waddle everywhere.  So now, it's seeing the dr every week until we have a baby.  Holy crap.  HAVE A BABY.  :o

Here is a peek at Ca-Blob, baby sumo.

I'm pregnant...that's why...

...ok.  So that excuse works for almost anything now a days...except for updating my blog.  LOL

As you can imagine...a LOT has happened since my last entry...in AUGUST.

For starters, mid September we found out that the Frightener is most defiantly, all BOY...and most definatly proud of that fact!  He couldn't keep his hand off his junk during his ultrasound.  So it starts already *crosses eyes*  So much for that chinese gender chart.  HA!  What a crock.  lol

For those of you who don't know...I highly doubt anyone doesn't know, but his name is Caleb Matthew Reve.  Bry has always loved the name Caleb.  Matthew is Bry's middle name and my brother's first name.  Reve is my dad and grandfather's middle names.  Yeah.  I know.  A mouthful.  But that's alright.  He'll deal.

The second trimester pretty much flew by with nothing major to report.  I got my first hemmy, my clothes stopped fitting right and my appetite went thru the roof.  Which cracks me up.  I eat, and eat and eat.  I've put on a total of 10 pounds my whole pregnancy.  And as of right now, they are saying 4.5 lbs of that is Caleb.  He's a chunk already!  I am most likely going to give birth to a toddler.

I'm still working as much as I can.  I get pretty tired most days but I just keep plowing thru it.  Most likely going to take leave starting Feb. 1st...depending on what they do with my due date.  So far they haven't moved it yet, so it's still the 18th...or the 21st...or the 17th...or the 14th...who really knows.  I've been sticking with the 18th, since that was the orginal.  However, they are are talking about possibly inducing me early because of his size.  That.  Would.  Rock.  Don't get me wrong...I am so happy and blessed to be having a pretty easy pregnancy.  I am just over it.  For reals.  And not just because I am dying for a cold frosty beer.  No.  I'm super uncomfortable and I waddle.  I'm kinda like those weeble wobbles...but I don't fall down.

Other than that...nothing really new to report.  The nursery is pretty much ready for him.  I just need to get the celing fan hung.   Mom flew down at Thanksgiving and helped me get it all put together.  I'll have to upload the pics from my phone to show you.   We're going with the pirate theme...it's pretty dang cute  :)

And with that...I'm off to eat my frozen cheesecake and go to bed.  Hmmm...I wonder why this kid is such a chunk.

Belly Laughs

Has anyone else read the book "Belly Laughs" by Jenny McCarthy?   If not and you are expecting, run (or depending on how pregnant you are...waddle) to the bookstore or grab your Nook and download it immediately.  It's the nitty gritty blunt honest stuff that no one tells you.  Niagra falls between your legs.  Yup.  Pooping while delievery.  Yup.  It will make it laugh.  Blue twinkies?  Still laughing!!

Hello 12 weeks...it's good to see you!

That's right...12 weeks down, 28 to go!  Ok.  Doesn't sound too exciting when you say it that way...still seems like FOREVER away..however...I welcome 12 weeks with open arms.  Debatable if it's the beginning of the Second Trimester or not...but I am rolling with it.  Goodbye nausea (crossing fingers), sore chi chi's and hello more energy and uhh...more waistline!

Next Dr's appointment is Monday at 9:30...should be hearing the heartbeat and getting a new picture of our little Frightener!

Chinese Gender Chart

A fun, little tool.  Claims to be 90% accurate.  Guess we'll find out in September!  :D  Of course...when I asked Kirsty what it said when she did it, it said she'd have a girl...and out came Noah.  LOL  Defiantly not a girl.

http://content.thebump.com/sitelets/chinese-gender-chart/  if you want to try it out or see how accurate it was for you!  :D

I think it's a little early....

But maybe I am wrong.  Is 9 weeks too early to have baby brain?!
I swear...the last week or so I can't seem to remember crap!  Like this for example...the other day at work one table paid me cash.  They handed the presenter to me and said.."all set...thank you."  Regardless of what they say, I always return the change...just in case.  Well this time I put it in my pocket without even looking what was in it.  I got a little busy but noticed they were still sitting there.  I freaked out a little and thought they were waiting for change.  So I reach into my pocket to cash it out and drop change...presenter wasn't there.  Cue major freakout.  After searching thru about 50 check presenters, my co worker came up to me and handed me the check.  Appatently I had left it at the p.o.s. station.   By that time, the guests had gotten up and left.

Not just that incident.  I have worked for the Grand Lux for almost 2 years.  I couldn't remember a table number to save my life.  Nor would I remember to cash out a check after a guest left and then I would add another order to the check and end up having to get it voided and rang back in.  Good times.  Good times.  My manager kindly reminded me that doing drugs while pregnant was not healthy.

I thought I would have longer before my memory became mush.  Apparently not.

This...that..and the other..

Things have been going pretty much the same the last week or so.  Feel great in the morning...but nights...that's a different story.  Or it was.  The doctor prescribed me Zofran.  This pill is a wonder drug!!  I take one before I head into work and I can make it through the whole night without the ickies!!  Yay!

I've been sleeping a ton lately.  I don't know if it's the pregnancy or just me being a lazy-ass but I could sleep all day if you let me.  I slept until 2 pm the other day...it was amazing.  Today I delcared "bum day" and haven't left my bed but a few times to rotate laundry and pee.  Which is something I do ALL THE TIME.  I know you wanted to know that.

Pretty boring update...I know.
